The I Got You Project is a Christ-rooted mission supporting young adults ages 18–24 aging out of foster care by helping bridge the gap between the system and real adulthood.

Every participant begins with the 12 Keys to Leveling Up — a structured foundation designed to build trust, discipline, identity, character, direction, and purpose.

From there, participants grow inside a consistent environment of community, guidance, creativity, support, and, for those who choose it, deeper spiritual growth.

No one needs to grow up alone.

The Front Door: 

12 Keys First

Everyone enters through the 12 Keys to Leveling Up. The 12 Keys are the required starting point, the shared language, and the foundation of the journey. Participants do not begin with media, creative tools, outreach, or the faith pathway first. They begin with structure.

This keeps the flow clear, grounded, and consistent.

Core flow:

Online Entry → Intake → Human Contact → Orientation → Trust Month → 12 Keys → Pathways → Purpose → Graduation → Leadership

1.) The 12 Keys to Leveling Up

Weekly Foundational Curriculum

The 12 Keys curriculum is a once-a-week, in-person experience designed to help participants grow mentally, emotionally, creatively, practically, and relationally.

Through writing, discussion, reflection, creative exercises, guest speakers, hands-on activities, and real-world experiences, participants begin building a stronger foundation for adulthood.

The goal is not just to teach information. The goal is to help participants build confidence, express themselves, develop character, and move toward adulthood with support.

The 12 Keys include:

Trust

Building safety, authenticity, consistency, and self-expression.

Possibility

Expanding belief and seeing new ways of thinking, living, and becoming.

Experience

Learning through hands-on activities, real-life examples, and meaningful exposure.

Reflection

Building self-awareness through journaling, dialogue, and structured reflection.

Action

Moving from thought into action through goals, projects, problem-solving, and life direction.

Peace

Learning grounding, balance, emotional regulation, and how to stay centered while engaging with life.

Connection

Building meaningful relationships rooted in trust, empathy, teamwork, and shared growth.

Growth

Recognizing personal development through writing, creative projects, reflection, and consistency.

Vision

Defining goals and connecting daily actions to long-term purpose.

Identity

Recognizing voice, gifts, confidence, personal responsibility, and who they are becoming.

Celebration

Honoring progress, milestones, growth, encouragement, and community.

Worth

Learning self-value, care for the mind and body, and the importance of protecting what God placed inside them.

2.) The First Month: 

Trust

All participants begin with Key 1: Trust.

Trust is the required foundation month. For four weeks, participants focus on safety, consistency, self-expression, relationship, community, and commitment to the process.

This first month allows participants to build a foundation before additional pathways open.

Once Trust is completed and consistency is shown, participants may begin moving into additional pathways when they are ready.

3.) Session Rhythm

Participants do not just come to a class. They come to a table.

Each gathering is built around a simple rhythm:

30 minutes: food, dinner, and community

60 minutes: focused session

Closeout: reflection, discussion, and next step

The food matters because it creates warmth, dignity, consistency, and belonging.

It tells each participant:

You are welcome here.

You are expected here.

We prepared for you. 

4.) Faith & Scripture Pathway

A Deeper Walk for Those Who Choose It

After Trust is established, participants who desire a deeper relationship with God may enter the 

 Faith & Scripture Pathway.

This pathway uses the same 12 Keys framework through Scripture, surrender, prayer, identity, obedience, and purpose.

Participants may grow through:

learning Scripture,

understanding the life and teachings of Jesus Christ,

developing a personal relationship with God,

prayer and spiritual growth,

discipleship,

baptism when ready,

and leadership development over time.

This pathway is never forced.

The goal is not to force faith at the door. The goal is to make the path clear for those who are ready to go deeper.

5.) Media, Creativity & Outreach Pathway

Using Gifts to Serve and Spread Truth

After Trust is established, participants may also explore the Creative / Media Outreach Pathway.

This pathway helps participants discover their voice and learn how to express, document, create, and share their gifts through media, storytelling, music, writing, content, and outreach.

Participants may learn:

video creation,

audio and storytelling,

writing and message development,

communication skills,

teamwork and production,

creative responsibility,

and how media can be used for purpose.

Media is not treated as a tool for vanity, attention, or self-promotion.

It is taught as a tool for service, truth, outreach, and purpose.

The goal is to help participants understand that their gifts are not just for survival, attention, or escape. Their gifts can be developed, strengthened, and given back for something greater.

6.) Community Hub Experiences

A Place to Belong

The I Got You Project is built around consistent community.

Participants may take part in gatherings and experiences that create trust, belonging, and a sense of family, such as:

Friday pizza and movie nights,

Sunday family-style dinners,

holiday gatherings,

birthday celebrations,

milestone celebrations,

community events,

and shared meals.

These moments matter because healing and growth do not only happen in a classroom. They happen around tables, conversations, consistency, and trusted people who keep showing up.

7.) Guided Support & Trusted Adult Presence

Real People. Real Support.

Participants are supported by trusted leaders, staff, educators, volunteers, and adults who are present inside the container.

Support may include:

guidance and accountability,

encouragement and emotional support,

goal-setting and life direction,

support during life transitions,

healthy examples of adulthood,

and consistent relational presence.

Mentorship is not treated as a public-facing product. It exists naturally inside the culture of the program.

Participants are surrounded by trusted people who can guide, support, encourage, and model healthy adulthood.

8.) Service, Leadership & Legacy

From Being Helped to Helping Others

As participants grow, they are invited to move from receiving support to giving back.

This may include:

serving within the community,

helping support new participants,

encouraging others,

participating in outreach opportunities,

volunteering,

modeling responsibility,

and growing into leadership through humility and service.

Leadership is rooted in service, not status.

The goal is to create a living legacy where those who were once helped become helpers.

9.) Completion

Participants who complete the main 12 Keys curriculum graduate with recognition, a certificate of completion, and an I Got You Project University / Varsity Jacket.

Graduates are recognized as part of a larger family.

Over time, graduates may return as leaders, helpers, examples, and encouragement for future participants. There may also be a yearly gathering for graduates to keep the program rooted in family.

The goal is not just for participants to finish a program.

The goal is for them to leave knowing:

I am seen.

I am supported.

I have gifts.

I have direction.

I have purpose.

I do not have to grow up alone.

The Bigger Why

The I Got You Project is not only a response to foster care. It is a response to where the world is going.

As AI, robotics, automation, and economic pressure reshape society, people will need more than information. They will need formation.

Formation of identity.

Formation of character.

Formation of purpose.

Formation of gifts.

Formation of life direction.

Formation of faith.

AI can replace tasks, but it cannot replace purpose.

The future will not only need people who know how to work. The future will need people who know who they are.

The I Got You Project exists to help young adults become who God created them to be, develop what He placed inside of them, and give it back for His purpose.
