I was just a few months old when the state found me alone in a bar.
My birth mother couldn’t care for me, and I was adopted soon after. By age six, I had already lost my adopted father to cancer. My mother did what she could, but emotionally—I was on my own.
I grew up raising myself. Learning the hard way. Searching for purpose in a world that rarely offered answers.
Years later, I met two men who changed my life. They weren’t my fathers, but they became mentors—steady voices during chaotic times. They showed me what it means to be seen, supported, and believed in.
That’s why I created the #IGotYou Project:
To be what I needed when I was younger.
To reach the youth aging out of foster care with no safety net, no one waiting for them, and no idea what’s next.
We exist to say:
You’re not alone. We got you.
Through mentorship, community, and opportunity, we bridge the gap between the system and real adulthood—because no one should have to grow up alone.
